Trade Deadline 2019

LA probably got more than if they traded him next season. No idea if those young guys are anything.. It certainly helps Toronto who's already a good team.

I like Howard, can't imagine the team without him - but with a rebuild it's probably best.

Not that it actually matters in reality.

But Howard dropped to 12th on the tradebait list.

Goose is at 7. While I would miss Goose if he got traded, the team needs assets coming in and he will likely fetch highest ransom from what the team is willing to part with.

Nashvile re-acquire
Cody McLeod

Ranger acquire
7th round pick [2020]

Last season Nashville lost McLeod on waivers to the Rangers.

Ottawa acquire:
Jean-Christophe Beaudin

Colorado acquire:
Max McCormick

Toronto interested in Glendening again.

To be honest, over the past 18 months Glendening has really impressed me. Yes he is a bottom 6 forward, but he's been one of the most consistent forward during that time. A defensive/faceoff specialist that could help any team in the playoffs. But if a 2nd or 3rd round pick comes Detroit's way, Detroit should pull the trigger.

Yes it will weaken the team, but in the long term its gonna be good for the club.

Glendening is a great role player. The year we lost to TB in 7 I think the Wings would have won if he didn't get hurt. He was shutting down Johnson until he got hurt.

Agree. He was covering him like a glove . Shame he got hurt.. If a pick or two comes out way give him to Babcock and the leafs. I really don?t want Mike to win another Cup but the Leaf fans deserve to break through and win again like we did.

Couple trades this past week.

Vancouver acquire:
Marek Mazanec

Rangers acquire:
7th round pick [2020]

Vancouver was desperate for a backup goalie having played their OHL prospect on emergency basis Tuesday night.

-----------------------------
Pittsburgh acquire:
Blake Siebenaler

Columbus acquire:
Conditional 7th round pick [2019]

-------------------------
Montreal acquire:
Nate Thompson
5th round pick [2019]

LA acquire:
4th round pick [2019]

---------------------------------
Montreal acquire:
Dale Weise
Christian Folin

Philadelphia acquire:
Byron Froese
David Schlemko

-----------------------------------
Arizona acquire:
Emil Pettersson

Nashville acquire:
Adam Helewka
Laurent Dauphin

Seems like there has been many trades so far before the deadline. About 2 weeks left to go.

The list of available players is very high which might mean some good deals can be had.

Philadelphia acquire:
Cam Talbot

Edmonton acquire:
Anthony Stolarz

Seems mostly like a cap dumb by the Oilers.
Philly is always on the lookout for more goalies to eat.

Edmonton Acquire:
Sam Gagner

Vancouver Acquire:
Ryan Spooner

Gagner was playing in the AHL, dunno why cause he's been a solid half a point per game in the NHL when he was dropped. Anyhow, finally a fresh chance to get back in the NHL with a familiar team.

Chicago Acquire:
Holland

Rangers Acquire:
Raddysh

Also Nyquist was reportedly asked for list of destinations he'd accept a trade to.

Boston Acquire:
Charlie Coyle

Minnesota Acquire:
Ryan Donato
5th round pick [2019]*

*Could upgrade to 4th if Boston advances to 2nd round of playoffs.

Kind of a weird move by Minnesota. Somewhat a win in terms of cap space, but they probably aren't getting equivalent value back for Coyle.
