The trashy guys that sat behind us literally ripped Rudock all game. They were idiots. They complained about everything from start to finish. At one point one of the two guys asked, "So is this the largest stadium in college" and the other guy (who thought he was Nick Saban 2.0) said, "yeah, it's the only one over 100,000". I also heard them complain because Smith came in on a 4th down and that was dumb to put the starting RB out there because the defense would "key in" on him. And when they stopped it, they were like, "I told you so. What a stupid call". It was maddening to listen to.
Any whoo -- it is just ridiculous that people don't remember last year and our QB options last year. It's clear Shane did not progress much and Rudock is able to manage a pretty productive offense. Gardner and Morris last year couldn't even complete little screen passes without throwing it in the dirt. I, for one, think Rudock is a breath of fresh air. So he can't complete the deep ball, who cares. People need to get their expectations in check. Our true freshman QB recruits were not going to come in and be game ready -- that's an extremely rare quality.
