"I wish Verlander was a True Ace"

If he was truly an Ace....the rotational torque from his fastball would have created a tear in the space-time continuum and he would have traveled back in time, erasing his 2008 with a 26-3 record (2.11 ERA) and then stopping by ESPN to destroy the server on which this thread would be created, but then deciding that was too much trouble, he travels back to just before Chica's conception and hit's his father in the testicles with a 101 mph fastball, therefore ensuring this silly idea would never see fruition.

i remember that thread on the old espn boards.

hilarious.

i don't know how anyone could post that with a straight face. he must've just been looking for an argument with other posters.

verlander has always been a great pitcher his whole career.

Someday, Verlander might actually approach our expectations. But he's no Ray Bare or Mike Moore.

I'm still not convinced. He needs to go 30-0 this season with a 0.00 ERA before I'll even consider him possibly being an ace.

Looking for an argument? Our boy Chico??

You must be mad, man....

lol

Yes, you laugh, but....If Verlander were truly an Ace...he would have thrown his 8th Major League no-hitter, thereby surpassing Nolan Ryan's record...before he actually set foot on the rubber there at CoMerica Park, all those years ago.

I think it's time all of you amateurs stop impuning Chico's (you all call him Chica, but I will continue to refer to him as Chico, I'm not vindictive or retributional) reputation, and general sense of being, and his association of his one-ness with the Universe.

Justin Verlander.....making Chica look like the dumbest bitch in a world full of dumb bitches!!!

Dare I say that he's pitching better this season than last so far? He's still learning the art of pitching and improving.

I knew this thread would be up this morning. Chica.....he makes everyone look a little smarter.

Also I am still waiting for the next major league stud, Brian Bannister, to re-emerge to rousing success!
