Non-Michigan Tourney Games

hey, you got really mad at me the other day. meant to say I was just kiddin' but I figured it was good to let you stay mad like your angry midget coach.

JB has taken Michigan to the NCAA tournament 7 times in 10 seasons...

MSU gets in on reputation and strength of non conference schedule. It would be satisfying to see them out, though.

It's amazing how Psu is that resume buidling win that puts msu over the top lol.. Better hope there isn't a lot of upsets the rest of the weekend. Who knows indiana could bump them !!!?

Not worried at all. I believed they were already in before the conference tourney. Even in our rebuilding years we make the tourney. It's what good programs do.

Northwestern and Michigan too. We lose though first game and we should be out.

Also, can someone please explain why vanderbilt is even being considered as a bubble team? They are going to finish with 15 losses by the time the SEC tourney ends. They went 10-8 in a mediocre conference and have lost to bucknell, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, ole miss and bum ass Missouri. If they get in I will lose my mind

Vandy with a huge win over Florida today in the SEC tourney. Maybe I should just shut up.

Gotime, let me know when your coach isn't in bed with the Buffalo Bills.

Other than that, the rest of the MSU posters are cool. Actually talk legit without being dicks.

I was looking at Vandy's schedule and they played some good teams out of conference, though not top 15 good, and didn't win any of them. Their entire resume is the 3 wins over Florida and 1 over South Carolina. I actually think most projections lately had Vandy already in.

As for MSU, they aren't even listed among the last 4 in and TCU and IU going down makes me worry less about crazy bubble-busting coming into the picture. Would have been nice to get the win today, but avoiding the bad loss in the first game was the big thing. We still have more top 50 wins (6 if Northwestern can get back in there) than a lot of teams ranked higher in the RPI.

It is strange about the bubble this year. Usually teams that are around .500 in the major conferences need to have some OOC accomplishment on top of it to get in, and you look around and there are quite a few who don't and yet will probably get in. It seems to be that a down year for the mid-majors is part of the cause of that. Though I wonder if it is really that, or if people are just not looking at mid majors in the same way.

Matt, I don't think anything has changed with the way people look at the mids. The problem is that there is such a low number of them that can offer ANY decent resume to compare to teams like MSU, Vandy, Wake, etc.

For awhile there the mid majors had figured out a pretty good way to work the RPI. Conferences like the Missouri Valley, Mtn West, A-10, Colonial. The major conferences won't play them unless they have to, so they all played a lot of games against each other. Teams that might be ranked in that 50-100 range, and they all kind of elevated their RPI's that way. It seems like they've gotten away from that.

Holy cow what a wildcat run. Maryland was up 44-34 and northwestern goes on a 22-5 run. What a game of runs .

Different runs in this game
Nu 20-4.
Maryland 26-6.
Nu 38-20.

Wildcats first Quarterfinals win in btt.

12 losses 2 years ago and went to the final four.

Also, I said PROGRAM not team.
I know you said program. Just reminding you that your team isn't good this year. Bridges is awesome, but the team is bunk.
