FWIW... I read RCMB and laugh. it's good entertainment; I'm often laughing "with them" too, or at least with some of the more witty MSU posters.

MGoBlog just makes me sad. It's like every ****ing Michigan fan I hate sitting near on gameday... constant whining, the same 4-5 lazy complaints about Michigan football recycled over and over, etc. No real understanding of the game, and no enjoyment in just being a fan... which when it comes down to it, is what all of us are. The self-proclaimed "experts" among the fanbase are wrong about just about everything like 95% of the time, and have no more "insider" information than anyone else.

247 is a pay site for premium content, I assume their writers are good but I subscribe to rivals for in depth analysis and good post game interviews, post game breakdowns, podcasts, etc. I assume 247 offers the same thing, the only difference is that you have to subscribe in order to post on Rivals, that kind of keeps the riff raff out

To the extent they're buying into the whisper campaign from the 49ers Front Office about Harbaugh's character, well... I don't really know what to say to that. It reveals more about them.

It's pretty funny to read some of those comments. I find it particularly ironic that their fans would state that any other programs coach is "known as a dick"

You don't have to be a great human being to be a great coach, look at the top ones in the country, a lot of them are known assholes. not sure about 247 because I don't subscribe but Rivals has hardly talked about it, at least not in any publication. The writers post on the message boards but have largely ignored the hire, members haven't. it hasn't dominated the board but there are a number of threads about Harbaugh, I understand why, our main rival made a big splash with their hire, of course it's news to state fans.

also, there is a big anti-harbaugh news crowd. there's a percentage of MSU fans that get angry every time something is posted on the board that relates to Michighan, kind of stupid of you ask me. Of course fans are interested in their rivals and it was a bit of a slow period for MSU sports, you can only go over the Cotton bowl matchup so much and there wasn't any recruiting news.

Bo had some tough breaks in bowl games... Heart attack... Missing bowls for a few years with some of his best teams and the vote... Phantom touchdowns.... At least I was at the 22-14 win over USC... I got hit with a grapefruit in the head after the game waiting for Bo and team to go into the locker room..... Good thing it was pretty soft... My hat keep that stain on it even aster we washed it...LOL

The holding call in his last Rose Bowl on the fake punt verses USC the following years was such a home cooking call for USC, and a game changer... Bo had a bad bowl record but like was mentioned a break or two in a few games and the record is reversed or closer to .500

These rumors don't hold up to scrutiny; Harbaugh was called out for being well-liked by his coaches & teammates by none other than Bo Schembechler in his book. And Harbaugh was by all accounts a super-competitive, loudmouth... so the fact that he was well-liked despite this speaks volumes about his character. Even in some of his high-profile coaching tiffs (Pete Carroll, Jim Schwartz) both sides are on good terms. How would that be possible if Harbaugh was as much of a jerk as claimed?

those pushing the rumors (NFL slappies, the 49ers GM, and Michigan-haters like you and your degenerate buddies) all have an obvious axe to grind.

I don't think this is all just a matter of perception... non-Michigan sports media was pretty united in deriding Jed York's side of the story in San Fran.

and for every 49ers player who complained (off the top of my head, Randy Moss), FWIW others have defended him & the whole team gave him a cordial send-off & Gatorade bath. How many departing coaches get that?

actually, all the stuff that I hear is from personal friends of Harbaugh who grew up with him or roomed with him at Michigan. these people are hard core Michigan supporters, season ticket holders, big time Michigan slappies, etc. They sure as hell don't fall into your characterizations.

I get along with sbee on the politics & religion boards. He just can't seem to come to grips with his Michigan-hate or MSU inferiority & be an all-around good guy.

everyone has some reason or another to dislike me on these boards. you should see some of the hard core GOP posters on these MSU only boards, it kills me. there are some moderates and progressives but my god, there are some real assholes. there's one guy on rivals saying sandy hook was a hoax and I think there might be more posts dedicated to Al Sharpton than MSU (and Michigan) football.

Sbee is I think the most pro-Israel liberal/progressive on the politics board.

What I like about our politics board is that every poster (except for tsmith, but I have promised to be nicer to him from interacting on the Lions board so I won't expound), liberal, conservative or moderate, seems to come to their own conclusions thoughtfully and also won't necessarily hold a position because they're "supposed to."

Sbee makes good posts on the media boards.

He was a solid Tiger board poster once upon a day but doesn't post very much anymore.
