I think using Peppers on offense as much as we have seen was to give him an opportunity to create some Heisman highlights, which would have been good for the program long term if it had worked. I don't think we'll see a lot of Peppers on offense vs OSU.

Maybe, but he has given a spark to the offense. Especially in the red zone. The problem is that teams know what to expect when he comes in. They need to come up with some other way(s) to utilize him on offense. I would still like to see him in and have them in the "train" formation. I bet that will cause some real panic for defenses.

His "spark" was in games where they didn't really need a "spark." They've played 2 close games and I don't really remember him doing much vs Wisconsin and he didn't do anything against Iowa.

On offense I think they could start utilizing him on the sideline as a decoy.

The defenses will be completely baffled as to what he may be able to do from there and while the defenses are distracted by that, Michigan can take them by surprise by running its regular offense.

All they have to do, if they would like him to participate in the offense, is split him out wide and have him run a go route every time. Have the QB double pump to his side and the whole underneath will be wide open for Butt or the RBs.

Michigan loses at OSU (seems almost 50/50 at this point)
Penn State drops to Rutgers (No shot) or MSU (maybe)

I was thinking in term of both last season and this season. Last season he was making some tougher runs than several of the RBs. Not so much this season. But still, if they are going to have him on offense they need to come up with something different than the wildcat with Speight (or other QB) split out wide. While those plays work on lesser teams, they take too long to develop for teams with quicker defenses.

Does it go to overall record? If PSU lost to MSU, then that would give them 3 losses overall and knock them out. If OSU loses to MSU (come on Sparty!) then that would give both OSU and Michigan two loses (assuming Michigan were to lose to OSU due to poor officiating or some such thing). At that point I assume it would come down to the head to head game. If this scenario plays out, then OSU would go to the BTC. Right?

He doesn't have to show any indication. He's fast. All he has to do is run and double move. He's a very athletic guy, I think he's capable of being a receiver in some sets. At WR they can use him as a decoy all day long. And if shit opens up, throw the ****ing thing to him. I'm sure he'll make a play.

To add, if he can catch a punt, he can certainly catch a deep ball thrown his way.

Woodson showed no indication he could play wide receiver either...until they put him there. He was a (badass) running back in high school.

I will say if defense wasn't a consideration I'd want him as the starting rb. I just think as things stand now he'd provide more bang for the buck at slot.

What interceptions? He has zero for his career.

Peppers is great, but he does not compare to Woodson.

Woodson averaged over 17 yards per catch. Highly effective. Peppers averages 8.2. You can't just throw a guy out there bc he's fast/athletic. They have to understand route trees and timing with the QB. If all it took was being fast and athletic, Chesson would have been good from the start of his career.
