The Officical MSU vs ][V][ichigan Game Thread

We been a basketball school for several years now. I didn't even bother watching Michigan football last year and I'm questioning if I should bother to finish watching this season.

I think you should sit down and have a long talk about it with yourself.

You're not excited to watch a Big House filled with red while OSU stomps us by 30?

Nah, that used to excite me but now it's become ordinary. They'd have to win by 60 to get me all hot and bothered. Of course, they might very well do that this year.

I?ve just been kidding you.

I started watching games last season, but at a point in time I also stopped bothering to watch.

?What point was that??

When they started canceling them.

HeeeseeeYAAAAART!!!!

I?m here all week folks!

If Harbaugh does not beat OSU, I think he is gone. The fans are absolutely justified in saying 'enough'. OSU is do or die this year.

I think the one change he did not make this off-season that will cost him is keeping Gattis. UM should have kept passing instead of running. Remember how vs Washington they only passed 5 times? Today they should have only run 5 times.

When the opponent has a weakness you are able to exploit, keep hitting it. That is precisely what Tucker did with repeatedly running Walker. Gas doesn't get it, nor does he understand how to develop different run plays. Its either between the tackles, jet sweep / end around, or QB around the edge. How many times has he called for a RB to run a sweep?

And when are they going to teach Cade how to throw the receiver open by throwing away from the DB on a deep through instead of directly to the WR? 8 games now and he still is placing his throws too tight to the WR. Throw with just a bit of touch to the place the WR will be able to adjust and go get it away from the DB covering.

Don't get me wrong, heck of a game by Cade, but damn they could have won by 3+ TDs if not for settling for FGs, and a big piece of that is Cade still missing the deeper throws by throwing too tight where the WR cannot adjust.

It doesn?t matter how many whatever?s were not called you can?t blow a 30-14 lead. You don?t put in a freshman in the rain to run a read option trying to run out the Fucking clock or putting a drive together. up 3 points with over 7 minutes left when your starter was playing fine. What happened to just handing the ball it off to Haskins ?

Face it Harbaugh is just a stupid coach trying to hard to keep a 4 or 5 star kid happy. It was a very poor decision by a nimrod head coach.Jimmy the Dumb ass kept a gunner out on a all out blitz on a punt . How did that work out Jimmy ?

Coaching and poor play calling in the red zone killed us yet again under Jim. His record speaks for itself. He can?t win the big games. No wonder fan bases want us to keep him.

Win the rest of your games and the bowl game or pack your bags.

Didn't Clemson win the NC with TL running Read Options at times? And CJ Stroud is doing it at OSU. Many teams do it in fact.

That said, Cade should have been in there at that point in the game, I agree.

JJ is a freshmen in the rain with your #1 qb playing great on the road up 3 seven minutes to
go . A freshman who had just fumbled the series or two before and it was lucky to go off a foot out of bounds.Yes I know experience players run the read option in great weather and win national titles. Last I checked we really have never been a read option team no matter how hard we try to under Gattis to get speed and space.. Putting JJ in and just handing the ball off I can live with but Neither Blake or JJ appeared to be on the same page on that fumble sadly. Such terrible error that never should have happened. Just hand the ball off. So maddening that Jim can?t ever get out of his own way.

Btw those teams run the read option way better then Michigan.

Yes. The vast majority of teams allow their starting QB to run zone reads.

Every team runs the read option better than us.

Cade was in the medical tent on the JJ lost fumble. Didn't have a choice on who was out there.

Really . Hmmm . Because Cade came back pretty fast. Gattis and Jim are just shitty play callers.
Call a fucking hand off then. JJ had just fumbled running. Hand the damn ball off to Haskins before Blake.
Blake kind of checked out after he dropped the wide open pass. His game was never the same after that drop.
So frustrating how many times they get cute in the red zone.

Yeah, Michigan radio network confirmed Cade was in the tent. We might have known that on the TV broadcast if Gus Johnson wasn't constantly beating off to his own hyperbole.
