2020 - 2021 Free Agents and Offseason Moves

They barely did anything before this season. I guess that means no spending.

Cron $6.1 Mil
Schoop $6.1 Mil
Romine $4.1 Mil
Maybin $1.5 Mil
Nova $1.5 Mil

Roughly $20 Mil and hardly any impact.

We can?t wait to get your thoughts on the following topic.

Al Avila has let it be known that there is too much uncertainly within MLB to comment on how much they will be able to spend when it comes to adding talent via free agency.
Given how poorly the starting pitching was in 2020, the rotation is a good place to spend their money if they are able. But what level of spending?
Would you spend at the top of the rotation, middle or toward the end for a 4th or 5th starter? Explain your answer.

Schoop was their second best player and Cron started off hot but got hurt. THe other 2 were worthless.

Doesn't say much with his team. Though his bad walk to k ratio was better than last season, lol.

Better than Willi Castro and Candelario?

Regardless

Spending money on this team this last season or into next season is actually counterproductive. They need to build from within and get the best possible draft position.

And $20 Mil is still $20 Mil. There is better organizational items they could have spent it on then 5 players who didn't change anything for the better.

I forgot about Castro.

I agree that they shouldn't spend money on free agents when it might only get you from a .380 winning percentage to .400
