Matthew Stafford comes in as No. 9 QB in NFL

Career rating... he blows. Consistently. Hughes words.

Had a great 8 game run last year than pussed out.... part of the reason many of us were so high on him for this year. He tricked us all yet again and sucked ass.

His 2019 season better than super bowl winning qb
. Stafford is a hofer mvp. And his qb rating higher than many hofer career wise. Stafford for five more years..fuck the rookie qbs. They are garbage

Matt Stafford's career year. Can only manage to play 8 games and the Lions are under .500 in those games. He has only had one year out of 12 that he had a passer rating above 100 but he was too fragile to finish the year. Mahomes has played 3 full seasons and his average QB rating is 108.7. His career low was 105.3 which beats every single year Matt has played.

You sound so stupid when you compare great QBs to Matt.

Matt isn't even in the HOF conversation. MVP...I'm not sure if he has even received a single vote for MVP. He is a P.O.S. compared to the elite QBs in the league.

Stafford had higher qb rating than maholmes in 2019. Stafford is a super bowl champ and mvp caliber. Maholmes had better support too

You sound stupid to not call stafford elite

"Stafford is a super bowl champ" - show me, what year I must have missed it.

Cousins and Tannehill both had higher ratings than Matt last year. So they are both better than he is.

Stafford is a huge pussy. Couldn't even play more than 8 games last year. Pathetic.

Decker is better and healthier. Lions won this. They liked Reiff too

Here is the breakdown of 1st round Quinn picks vs Kiper's best available. This doesn't take into account after the 1st round where Quinn has performed far worse.

2016
Quinn - Taylor Decker
Kiper - Darron Lee

2017
Quinn- Jarrod Davis
Kiper- Rueben Foster

2018
Quinn - Frank Ragnow
Kiper- Lamar Jackson

2019
Quinn- TJ Hockenson
Kiper - Devin Bush

2020
Quinn- Okudah
Kiper- Okudah

Give Stafford a break, if he has a few of his best games ever to start next year, he could pass Bridgewater in career QB Rating.

Gotta hope the packers lock down trubisky so he can climb back up to 18 lmao. Trubisky... the guy that was benched!

Detroit is somehow going fk things up by getting a win. No Cook for Minny so maybe possible.

The Lions should be running the booger picker out there at QB. If Matt plays they deserve to win and drop down in the draft

We need stafford to sit to pretend like he has trade value. If he plays he's going to look like a clown that has no future in this league and we will be stuck with him.

You have officially jumped the shark.

well, he finished 14th in rating. Right in the middle. Right behind Rivers and ahead of Baker.

15th in ESPN's QBR
28th in comp %
14th in yards per game
9th in yards per attempt

Lions second in league in drops (34) and Stafford pressured 20% of time which was more than average for QBs. No run game (30th YPG and 26th YPC) and very few short fields.

14th is like being 1st in QB rating with that lack of help

sounds like the RBs, OL, and D must be garbage.

Best DE injured 9 games Hand and Williams and Griffen some time. Top two CBS injured all year. LBs were garbage other than Collins (above average).

Many other injuries plus to Stafford. Definitley didn't help. Decker, Ragnow are good. Jackson developing and can live with Crosby. Vaitai injured most of year too but needs to step up. They need one more Oline to add to upgrade over Crosby/Vaitai which creates depth. Swift is good but it wasn't just Swift. Peterson good early and final game, good nose for end zone but struggled most of year. KJ struggled other than pass pro off 2 injured seasons. Swift isn't a 200 carry guy.

Best WR injured 11 games. Pretty big injury there but Marvin stepped up (1,000 yards and 10 TDs if not for bogus fucking call). Hock did really well too but last 2 games fizzled.

But yeah 9 new defensive starters are coming and one new Oline and figure out the 3 WR FAs. And maybe new kicker with Prater missing so much this year

their best DE is average.

Their injuries were typical of any NFL team. They just don't have any depth.

Why draft a RB so high if they think he can't handle an average workload? Maybe they should have taken Taylor.

8th ranked in entire NFL. So you are wrong. by far. Plus Okwara was a top 10 pass rusher and had 10 sacks. But now he is a FA of course

Swift is like a swiss army knife. He has a big workload with rushes and receptions. He is a good playmaker and did well. Needs to do even more in 2021. But power back is still a need again. Kerryon a nice 3rd option unfortunately but maybe a scheme change will do him good.

Lions need more running game. One new Oline out of the 5, Jackson getting better and more Swift will help but they still need that power back. Plus we'll see if scheme changes help. Unknown without a HC/OC etc

30th in rushing yards per game just does not cut it in the NFL and it hurts whoever is at QB.
