Move Decker

Lions are 12th in league pass rush grade. Up significantly from 2020

You owe us an apology

Dts and interior defenders also do the dirty work so the edge defenders can get the majority of the pressures and LBs and safeties can blitz too. Most good defenses have an interior player that gets pressure. They are hoping Levi and McNeil get us there as they develop.

Heyward for Steelers, Campbell for the Ravens, Buckner with 49ers and now Colts, Clark for the Packers, Joseph with the Chargers, Tomlinson with the Vikings, Watt for Cardinals, Ed Oliver and Star for the Bills, Vea for the Bucs. Yeah DTs and interior defenders are important pieces to a defense. McNeil and Levi are rookies that need to grow too. Lions will find WRs, LBs and safeties this upcoming offseason while still having ability to take a QB in top 5.

Nice try. Rattle off a bunch of names and dont supply any stats. Theres 3 DTs in the top 17 in sacks right now.

Javon Hargrave PHI
Quinnen Williams NYJ
Aaron Donald LAR (Extra game)

Pass rush grade...care to define that?

We're 13th in team sacks which isnt terrible. But only 2 of the 9 total sacks have come from our dline (none from Levi or McNeil).

Not to mention its not helping our secondary as they are still the worse positional group on the planet because its not consistent pressure from anywhere. You need a stud pass rusher....we've needed a stud pass rusher since Robert Porcher. Another bonehead decision not to upgrade that spot by our GM.

There is no way anyone can have an honest assessment of what Holmes/Campbell have done if 4 freaking games!!

Handed the worst roster in the league?.by far?..you?re giving them one off season and 4 games to turn it around, huh?

DTs do the dirty work. And it's more than just sacks. Hits and hurries.

OLBs are the pass rushers. Okwara and Flowers are good but both got hurt. Harris is doing a nice job on a cheap deal. There was none at pick 7 especially nobody better than Sewell. And Levi and McNeil can help in pass rush in the future. They are rookies.

We'll see how we address it in 2022 with plenty of extra picks. Will we go DE or QB in top 5.

They gave Okwara a decent sized deal. Not really many big pass rushers in FA and it wasn't time to spend right now. We are already paying too good ones in Okwara and Flowers.

We got the guy to stop the stud pass rushers in Sewell as he grows

Pass rush grade per PFF. Lions are 12th in the league. So the pass rush is not lacking for this team as much as you claim. The secondary is hurt and Barnes, Okudah, Ife, Parker, McNeil, Levi all have to grow into good and solid players. You wanting instant results from all these rookies is stupid. It's a rebuild. We got 3 more years and rest of this season to see how Levi and McNeil can grow and Barnes too.

Lions will have more money for impact FAs next year. But not edge, light year there or old

And this year nothing big out there. Hendrickson a try hard one year guy, Lawson got hurt already, Dupree coming off a major injury. Judon went to the Pats

Parsons more does it all not a true edge but Sewell the much better prospect

Basham, Ojulari, Odeyingbo, do they even fit our scheme and they were not better prospects than Onwuzurike either

Malcom Koonce, Pat Jones and Chauncey Golston over McNeil. I don't think so

Ojulari was a much better prospect than levi and was frequently mocked in the top 20.

All lists i see owuzurike better

Also charles harris, owkara and flowers doing well but 2 are hurt. Lets see what julian can do. Pass rush not really a big problem. Its coverage and some run d too

Lions 2nd best 3rd down in league. They just suck on 1st and 2nd
