NL Playoff Thread

Cincinnati is gone

SF wins three straight in Cincy after being down 2-0...the away team won every game this series.

SF moves on to the NLCS, they'll have home field if St. Louis wins, Washington will have home-field if they move on.

St. Louis-Washington is currently tied 1-1 in the 6th. The NLCS will be set if St. Louis wins.

The home team in the NL playoffs is currently 1-8, the only home team to win so far is St. Louis in game 2 of their series

St. Louis comes back to win, they move on to face SF

ugh, the two teams i wanted badly to lose won. the nats really have noone but themselves to blame by not pitching strasbourg.

Or blowing a 6 run lead or pulling a Valcrapo in game 5. Those don't happen and they're not questioned about Strasburg. Though, IMO, he should have pitched.

SF evens up the series with a 7-1 win over the Cardinals, they now head back to St. Louis for the next 3

St. Louis takes the series lead with a 3-1 win over SF in game 3

St. Louis goes up 3-1 with another home win vs SF, now 1 win away from playing the Tigers in the WS

Now I almost hope the Cards win, tonight. This way they have to wait almost as long as the Tigers.

beltran has a sore knee, back to playing,

Game 6; Cardinals announce Holliday out with lower back tightness.
Craig moves to LF, Beltran will now bat 3rd. Carpenter batting 2nd at 1B.

The Giants force a game 7 with a 6-1 win over the Cardinals

The winner of game 7 will have one day of rest before playing in the world series (game 1 will be at the home of the NL winner, so SF would stay put while St. Louis would fly back to St. Louis)

Damnit.

Cards pitching is crummy, and now we'll probably get the Giants who have pitchign nearly equal to ours, better if you factor the bullpen.

Meh. They both have good teams. Neither will be easy. We always seem to do better against the better pitchers anyway.
