sorry, but a lot of UM fans sound just like the fans that they despise (SEC and OSU homers). This suspension means nothing. Harbaugh on the sideline on gameday doesn't impact anything. UM will win out in the regular season, win the BIG10 championship game, and probably has a 40% chance to win the NC...with or without JH on the sideline for the next 3 games.

I don't think that's true at all. I mean, maybe we'll win out, but not having our HC in the stadium means other staffers have to take on additional roles, and he's not there to give the halftime speech, or make other calls, yell at refs, etc.

I assume we prepared for this contingency but to have them announce it less than 24 hours before the next game... that's some dirty pool by the Big Ten.

I really hate this fucking conference right now.

honestly, I don't know where else we'd go, but if we left it at this point, I wouldn't care.

That's one way to get ND back on your schedule every now and then...

Everyone panic, we may be down to 15 teams and collectively we'd probably make fewer softball tournament appearances.

If you actually think that Fox and NBC paid all that money for anyone other than Michigan and OSU you're a bigger moron than I thought. If you think that anyone in the Big Ten outside of OSU and Michigan could continue at their current level of competition without the money that Michigan brings in you are delusional. And if you think that the 4 west coast teams that joined the conference for money, who are coming in on a partial revenue share, have any loyalty to a conference that's losing their flagship member then I have some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you. Fucking idiot.

FWIW, Take it with a grain of salt; I just now heard Harbaugh will be on the sideline tomorrow. We?ll see.

We don't want him here in Arizona.

we filed a Temp restraining order (TRO) and that (should? will? may?) cause the court to stay the Big Ten's decision until the parties can have a full hearing next week. so Harbaugh would be able to coach until then.

we filed in state court, in Washtenaw Co., so have a bit of a "home field advantage" there. I read the Big Ten can't move this to federal court b/c UM is an arm of the state of Michigan and therefore this needs to be resolved in MI court

I read something about that.

If he shows up will security escort him out?

If he refuses to leave will State College Police come out and arrest him for trespassing?

Actually?if there?s no response from the bench in the conference?s favor before kickoff?why shouldn?t Harbaugh lead his team onto the field and Michigan?s position be ?without any court action supporting the conference?s authority to impose this, we view the conference?s position to be invalid??

That right there, that would be pretty fuckin? Harbaugh.

?Who?s got it better than us??

I think I read the contingency includes Mike Hart acting as HC.

But I think talking about leaving the Big Ten over this is wildly overreacting. Any regents that supported it aren't fit for the job.

I don't agree... why would you stay a member of a club that would knife you in the back like that? And if we want Petitti gone (and we should after the way he handled this), sometimes you have to take a hard position in a negotiation... like throwing your weight around.

Petitti is out of his element in this job. He should've been telling the ADs screeching about this to cool off and give him time to investigate and gather actual evidence instead of whatever third party report they were waving around as evidence. instead they fucked us like that (or tried to... we'll see).

I think a lot will depend on how the Big Ten reacts... if they look at the lawsuit, and go "Okay, fair. We tried to fuck you and you sued. We'll call off the dogs." Then we can consider making amends over cocktails and putting this to bed.

If they clutch their pearls and take it personally that we sued them, well then this is likely a huge rupture in relations and it's going to have a lot of bad repercussions for us. Leaving the conference (or threatening to) isn't that far out of line

Honestly I thought in the past they could go the route of Notre Dame and be an independent. I kind of like that. Deal like ND, obligated to play a few games in the BIG, and would probably make more money.. maybe even get a deal all games would be national like ND had for so long.

They need to get a Michigan State Police SWAT team to Happy Valley to escort Jimmy onto the sidelines and during the game.

if we have a TRO from a judge, and Penn St. bars him from the sideline... there will be hell to pay.

A temporary leader that doesn't understand the significance of basic civics is really bad, but it's a reason to work to get rid of him, not us. On 100 year timescales, you get rid of those leaders, not long-time members.

I'd prefer that by far to joining any other conference.

It's not the temporary leader that's the problem. It's the 13 other members throwing you under the bus because they can't beat you that's the problem. And 12 of them wouldn't make more than MAC programs if it weren't for Michigan. And you have bums like Alan Haller pushing bullshit lines about player safety whilst simultaneously defending beating players on opposing teams with helmets. Fuck all of them. They took a shot at the king and they missed. Now let them join the Idahos and Montanas of the world that tried the same bullshit with USC decades ago. Send them all to the fucking scrap heap and piss on the wreckage

Oh no, Fox and NBC won?t make as much money if uofm leaves - boo hoo. If you think uofm is going to be a big draw as a .500 team in the SEC, or that the other four west coast teams are going to get a better deal following uofm to the SEC or ACC, you?re the one that?s delusional. Of course you?re too stupid to know the difference between breaking a rule and following it so I?m not surprised to read this delusional unhinged rant.

If you crybaby bitches want to take your ball and go home because the conference expects you to follow the rules, don?t get upset when people don?t beg you to stay. Just take your ball and go, bitches.

Because they can?t beat uofm? You?ve won 2 conference titles in 20 years and a crappy MSU team beat uofm in one of those seasons. Then they got pimp slapped in the CFP once and outplayed by a mediocre TCU team last year. And last year osu should have beaten basically the same Georgia team that beat the snot out of uofm. Nobody is freaking out about a couple outlier years for uofm football. Get over yourself, take your lumps and quit being such a crybaby.

Also, Haller never defended what MSU players did in the tunnel - nobody did so please quit playing the victim and shut the f up.
