Tigers 2023 Spring Training Thread

Miggy's wheels are in all-season form. Here he scores from second base on a ground single to right.

The media asked him how he felt and he told them He wanted to score from second for his fan Tom Dalton at the Detroit Sports Forum.

Riley Greene keeps attacking the strike zone, driving in Matt Vierling on a 2-2 pitch.

he would have been thrown out if it were a regular season game. The catcher set up in front of home plate so nobody gets hurt.

Greene...he's a player I'm excited about. I really wish P. Meadows was good enough to make the team. Meadows in CF and Greene in RF. They could really cover some ground out there

Very old friend alert. Just more lefty depth though.

I'm not sure. I don't remember him from the Tigers before.

Tigers Sign Jose Alvarez To Minor League Deal.
MLBTR

LOL...I don't either.

I looked it up and he was on the team in 2013, his rookie year but he was terrible (38 innings, 5.82 ERA, 1.50 WHIP)

Looking at his career numbers and I don't understand the reason to sign him.

10 year career. 3.47 ERA, 1.315 WHIP (which isn't good for a relief pitcher)

Oh well...maybe the medical & training staff needs more layers to watch recover from TJ surgery. :lmao:

Tigers roster moves: Reliever Will Vest and catcher Donny Sands have been optioned to Triple-A Toledo. Infielder Andy Ib??ez has been reassigned to minor-league camp.

There are 38 players remaining in MLB spring training.
