Grinding out long ABs, double steals, drawing tons of walks, wearing down top shelf starters. This Tigers team is built differently.

Thank you Scott Harris, Ryan Garko, AJ Hinch for finding players and coaches from the minor league Tigers teams to the ML Tigers.

Chafin still really good..
Soto..looks ugly..20X he's been really good..5X..a disaster..
Fulmer and JJ miss Fetter.

For those Detroit Tiger fans who wonder why Miguel Cabrera is still in the lineup, there are 4 reasons:
1. You don't remove a first ballot Hall of Famer in his last year.
2. He is still the fans' favorite player and face of the franchise. And...
3. He still sells tickets. In yesterday's game, he pinch hit. Fans stood for the at-bat and screamed louder for him than for any other Tiger. After grounding out, he got a standing O. And....
4. For a team that ranks #28 in total attendance (only beating out the A's and Marlins), this franchise needs to sell every ticket that it can.
Miggy is a fan favorite and this is his farewell year which are 2 of the biggest factors for ticket sales this season.

Eduardo Rodriguez gets an inning-ending double play to end the top of the sixth inning and complete his outing.

Final line: 6.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K. 100 pitches, 65 strikes. 12 whiffs, 16 called strikes. Fastball averaged 92.4 mph.

Jonathan Schoop since May 12th
21 PA
.368/.429/.474
94 mph average exit velocity
Schoop is seeing the ball well and hitting it hard again. Small sample size.
