Kellen Moore. 2 year deal.

Dan O back, Kellen Moore for sure back on a two year deal.

Not looking good for drafting a QB.

Thought I read it's a pretty small guarantee though. Could cut him if we sign/draft a better option

Tony was the biggest ebron hater before the draft. Even picked him as the 1 guy he wouldnt want. not sure why he feels the need to defend him now. He was absolutely advertised as a blie chip offensive weapon that would be a match up nightmare, spread the defense and stretch the field.

He was none of that....ever.

The biggest Ebron hater??? Now you're making things up??? Awesome lol. You're right though, I wanted nothing to do with him. I wanted guys like Gilbert, Mack, Evans, Watkins and even Lewan over him. I admit, I hated the pick but I understood it from an offensive point of view. It's guys like you that call him a bust after year one. Just like you do with EVERY Lions draft pick. Then down the road, they make you look like a complete fkn idiot.

Exactly. Year 1 and people calling him out already. Wait one more year.

They've been wrong before. Quin, Mathis, Dig, Levy, Jason Jones, George Johnson, Ansah, Slay to name a few guys they've been wrong about.

Hughes thinks Tate is average with Calvin.

All they have is their hindsight for a handful of Round 2 guys that were injured or insane. Young had talent, Broyles had talent before injury and Best/LeShoure had talent.

Tony, go back and read the draft thread if you feel the need. Don't have enough fingers to count how many times it was stated Ebron is basically a WR playing TE, he doesn't block, he'll be used as a WR.

He's a TE, but maybe plays like a WR. Many times I stated that he'll probably play in the slot and do a lot of motion. Not once did I consider him a WR though...
And the knock on him was that he can't block to save his life. He improved that part of his game and had some key blocks for his team last year. Now we need to see him turn into an offensive weapon for the Lions. I'm not going to give up just yet after a year...

Stats say tate is average with calvin. 1k yard pace and 1 td.....yup....average.

Leshoure never showed any talent at this level....and we traded up for him lmao.

No they don't. They say 1,000 yard season. 60 yards per game is not average. And that's with taking out his five best games, which is stupid to do. He's a stud with or without Calvin. It's a matter of use. Calvin was a monster with Tate many times so we didn't need Tate.

at Cards/at Packers covered both well. Pats covered Johnson well (Revis).
Panther game Bell/Ross were busy fumbling and Henery was missing FGs. The deep shot to Calvin was fine.

LeShoure had a monster last year at Illinois. He's a power back and lost some speed with his injury.

To Early to call Ebron a Bust,

But I would take any number of the players drafted directly after him

Lewan, Beckham Jr, Aaron Donald, Fuller, Zack Martin

Not a bad group of rookies.

Leshoure was too busy trying to come up with a tandem nickname for himself and best to worry about football.

Or was it Best that was concerned about the nickname?

Too early to call any of those other guys year 2 studs.

I would feel more comfortable with any of them that I would Ebron.

Just be honest, redrafting...Still taking Ebron?

I would probably go Donald, Beckham Jr, Lewan, Martin, Fuller. Then Ebron.

It's still TBD. I won't do a re-draft in until after 2015.

Of course going forward you take the guy who looked the most productive, but that doesn't mean Ebron can't turn it around. Ebron showed some good flashes. I like his speed and his blocking was better than I thought. He needs to work on his routes. Hands probably won't improve but he makes some tough catches. Work on that easy catch concentration.

For the record ive never said bust. But he sucked ass...thats for sure. Id take obj martin and donald over him. Heck....id take like 10 wrs drafted last yeae over him lol.

And we would never know how Lewan, Donald, OBJ would do in Detroit's scheme. Our luck they would have shredded a knee in training camp. And people would be like dammit Mayhew, why did you take this injury prone OBJ.

Once the decision is made, just hope you got a good player. The opportunity cost is crap. We could have gotten OBJ who got hurt and missed out on Van Noy or Swanson because we took a TE later. It's a complete unknown. By year 2 and 3 you know more. And then in some case you have Broyels who shreds a knee and achilles and slows himself down.

And in year 2 he still could be a stud. At the time, Ebron wasn't a reach, we needed a 3rd weapon (TE/WR whatever he is).

OBJ or Donald could regress or not fit our scheme or get hurt.

TBD.

60 yards a game and zero scores is the definition of average. What planet do you live on?

Ofcourse they dont fit our scheme. Our scheme is to pick ppl that dont produce.

It is not average. 1,000 yards is a good WR. It was not zero scores either. He scored against Vikings.

Tate is not a redzone threat. Doesn't mean he's not good.
