Cut Stafford....really? Grades as a Top 10 QB

That day they did but stafford ssint. The offense isnt doomed to stink for eternity because of it. Riddick, ebron and tate have proven they can play betterand probably will in the coming weeks

One day doesnt mean they arent as good as i thought. Tate, ebron and riddick could be monsters the rest of the season. Lions have three true wins

I can't remember who said it but they basically said Cutler was easy win, Hoyer not so much. Over the years many backups did well vs Detroit.

The scary part is Stafford and Cutler have remarkably similar career stats.

I think we should fire LKP with the rest of em!

Hell no don't cut stafford, trade him for a first rounder! Da'h!

Yeah...esp the Packers backup QB Flynn, who torched the Lions by throwing 6 TD passes in a 45?41 victory in that infamous final game of the season on NYD '12.

Lions have also been beaten by a few of their former QBs as well, such as Rodney Peete, Joey Harrington, and Erik Kramer.

I think that was I, these lions are predictable. If years of the same ol shit doesn't tell you what's going to happen...well it's really not that hard to predict

Stafford is going into he's 100th game, how about a breakdown on how he stacks up to other QBs in their first 100 games.

Stafford will play in his 100th game on Sunday, but is already tops among all NFL quarterbacks in passing yards through their first 100 games with 27,624. Dan Marino (27,064) and Kurt Warner (26,097) rank second and third.

Stafford also ranks first in completions (2,392), ahead of Matt Ryan (2,242) and Peyton Manning (2,216).

In terms of touchdowns, Stafford is fifth all-time over a quarterback?s first 100 games. Marino is first with 217, followed by Aaron Rodgers (203), Brett Favre (187), and Manning (178). Stafford has 177, so he has a chance to pass Manning this weekend vs. Washington in his 100th game.

How about 300-yard passing games? Stafford is fourth with 32. Warner (44), Marino (35) and Rodgers (34) are ahead of him.

Stafford does hold the record for 350-yard games, however. He has 18. Marino had 17 and Warner 16.

30 Years ago Marino signed the largest total contract in NFL history.

in 1986 he signed for 6 years.

2 Million dollar signing bonus

Y1: 500K
Y2: 500K
Y3: 1.45M
Y4: 1.45M
Y5: 1.5M
Y6: 1.6M

6 years 9 million, fully guaranteed. How the game has changed.

Great for Stafford. With how spotty years 4-6 were, I wonder how Staffords numbers will look in comparison with Luck and Carr's numbers at the 100 game mark. Carr and Luck just seemed ready to go right out of the gate with a lot less bad habits.

This is great stuff, KC!!!

Build the offense Line up to pro bowl levels and the playoff wins will come for Matt I think

Those are nice accomplishments but they are due to his high number of attempts. Through 100 games he has more attempts than anybody on the list. Hell, he has 800 more than Rodgers.

Better td to int ratio than young manning or brees. It is quite an accomplishment

More first downs lead to more attempts which lead to more touchdowns. That is what you all dont get. Its especially impressive since he did it without much run game support over the years. Obvious pass and he still shreds opposing defenses

You are the only one that doesn't understand that his stats are volume stats.

Tds are not volume stats. Td to int ratio is not a volume stat. He has to throw strikes for first downs to be able to attempt more passes. No rum game hurts him dropping more coverage

Stafford is very impressive. It is not just volume
