Al Kaline 12/19/1934 - 04/06/2020 RIP#6

October 2, 1974: Future Hall of Famer Al Kaline announces his retirement. During a 22-year career with the Detroit Tigers, Kaline compiled in 2,834 games, 1,622 runs, 3,007 hits, 498 doubles, 75 triples, 399 home runs, 1,582 runs batted in, 972 extra base hits, 4,852 Total Bases, and a final line of .297/.376/.480/.856 along with 10 Gold Glove Awards and the most accurate throwing arm all-time.
He also batted .379 in the 1968 World Series. Kaline was a Perennial All-Star voted to 18 mid-summer games, and most of all his final numbers ranked in the top 5/10/15/20 at the time of his retirement.
