If I lived after watching the likes of inge everett santiago laird raburn hitting 7 8 9....I'm sure ill be fine with iggy avila castellanos/dirks.
Get Avila and Castellanos out of the discussion, they have at least league average OBP. And Everett was only around for just 1 year and not even 400 Plate Appearances.
2011-2013 Away OBP
Iglesias .306 OBP
Kinsler .303 OBP
D. Kelly .293 OBP
R. Davis .289 OBP
Lombardozzi .280 OBP
2009-2011 Away OBP
Raburn .329 OBP
Santiago .323 OBP
Peralta .323 OBP
Inge .307 OBP
Laird .291 OBP
Aside from Iglesias, none of the new players are an upgrade defensively. They also don't have as much power. Their only attribute is speed. And that doesn't play unless you get on base.
HR = 1 run (or more if men were on base)
SB = ??
There is no accurate way to determine what speed does. But 1 SB does not mean 1 Run.
