"I wish Verlander was a True Ace"

Lets hope today JV gets back to dominating......

My guess.....

8 Innings
3 Hits
1 BB
11 K
1 ER
121 Pitches

Tigers win 7-2.

He absolutely shut down the World Champs yesterday and he didn`t even need to strike out a bunch of guys.

Baaaaaah, he's garbage anyways...lol.

He was good......but last 4 starts combined have been "UnVerlander like"....

26.1 Innings
30 Hits
8 BB's
28 K
12 ER
4.10 ERA
1-2 Record

Will the real JV please stand up.........

Not sure what stat you looking at. He was at 2.55 coming into June, 4 starts later he's at 2.57.

So his last 4 starts isn't even close to 4.10. Status quo.

Well, 12 ER * 9 = 108 / 26.1 = 4.14 ERA (so Booger is right)

It does not change the total much Mitch, but that is the small sample size.

I think he was talking about May 24th to June 9th when he had 12 earned runs in 26.1 innings.

I'm just looking at his last 4 starts, 2.63 worth. You sure you're not looking at runs and not earned runs?

I realized he posted before last nights game so my 4 are different than his 4.

Verlander has 58 consecutive starts with 6+ IP. That ties him with Walter Johnson for 4th longest streak since 1918.

Can Verlander be on the ESPYS ballot for the Male Athlete and Best MLB Player and still not be an Ace.

Verlander is an ACE now. Remember, Chico "gave" him the title? ;)

Did Chico really "give" Verlander that title?

I thought in a recent game thread, where Chico was arguing that JV was over rated because he usually didn't win whenever the Tigers got shut out, and that JV had a better record against teams with lesser records than teams with better records (because everyone knows that Bob Gibson and Sandy Koufax and guys like that always only pitched against first place teams, right?) and a few other moronic points, Chico said something about only "giving" US last year to enjoy.

At least that's what I remember.

I think Chico still likes to argue that Verlander isn't an ace.

Why do we even bother with this thread anymore since Chico has been banned. We all know he is a ace!!!!!!!!

Chico is banned AGAIN??

What a dork.

Pretty hard to get banned from this board.

Let alone, more than one time.

I mean, you REALLY gotta be putting up a blue ribbon effort at being a jackass for that to happen.
