Next GM and Head Coach

Campbell had his 1st interview, not face to face, before Bowens interview was canceled.

If coaches are hired based off interviews, why not finish the process and interview the candidates that you?ve scheduled with? I get maybe if we were after a HOT name and needed to hire ASAP but Dan Campbell wasn?t a hot name.

Anyone outside of Lions fans would tell you it?s a joke that Dan Campbell has a head coaching job while Eric Bieniemy remains a offensive coordinator.

Because they liked Campbell. Something he said the Fords liked. Interviews get cancelled all the time. As far as Bieniemy, he's a 50-50 case. But there's a reason he hasn't been hired as a HC these two years. The Lions aren't the only ones who didn't look his way.

The NFL is years behind as far as equality. They have a ?shut up and play? mentality. They blackballed a QB for taking a knee. They didn?t start talking about BLM until it became a cool and the in thing to do for cooperation, even though the majority of the players are black. Dan Campbell is a example of white privlage because having a black GM and a black head coach would have been too much. It had nothing to do w his ?interview?.

Wow. This may be the most ignorant post I?ve seen on here for a while.

Lol.

I figured most wouldn?t agree and I don?t expect others to understand. It?s all good man, just frustration coming out. For the record, it?s not ignorance but my opinion. Just like I can say it?s ignorant for you not to open your eyes.

You have zero ?proof? of that. The ignorant part is you making allegations that the Campbell hire was somehow racially motivated.

So your stance is interviews don?t make any difference and hiring white coaches is racist?

Zero proof...We hired a TE coach who was talking about biting knee caps and breaking bones in his first presser. Meanwhile, the offensive coordinator for the best offense remains jobless. It’s not just Campbell but the whole NFL.

No black head coaches hired this year.
Only one team in the NFL has a black GM and black head coach.
69% of NFL players are black.
Only 2 head coaches are black.

The NFL has to put in rules just to get the owners/GMs to interview and compensate them for hiring minorities. That’s sad!

Lol, the offensive coordinator for one of the best offensive coaches in league history you mean in Andy Reid. He needs to get out of Reid’s shadow and he’ll be better off. Lots of head coaches who specialize in what they do overshadow their coordinators on that side of the ball. For instance Greg Roman had never been given a chance but if you look at what teams he has bounced around on they have usually had a really productive offense. He had many years where he had chances to be interviewed but now no one considers him. Idk why.

Sounds good...Until we bring up the two white offensive coordinators in Doug Pederson and Matt Nagy who didn?t have to get out under Andy Reid to ?prove themselves?. Let me guess, they interviewed very well. 😂

No idea who deserves head coach jobs but hiring a black just because he's black makes no sense to me. We have a black GM who didn't hire a black HC. I agree that I thing Bienemy would have a better chance outside of KC.

Cmon Mitch, we all know Holmes didn?t hire Campbell. He wasn?t even a part of the first interview, the one Campbell was hired after.

And since when has it been a negative to work under one of the best coaches in the league? That baffles me. It wasn’t a bad thing for Doug Pederson or Matt Nagy but it is for Bienemy.

Campbell worked as a TE coach under Sean Payton. Maybe he should’ve had to get out under Payton to get a chance.

See how stupid these things sound? Everyone wants to make excuses and not face the facts.

Facts:
Only one NFL team has a black GM and head coach.
No black head coaches hired this year.
69% of NFL players are black
2 NFL head coaches are black

Its not a negative so why hasn't he been hired even by black GM? WFT black GM, black team president - white HC.

Nonetheless. I doubt black GM are passing on Bieniemy because he's black.

There was only 2 black GMs in 2019. One being the Dolphins who have one of the two black head coaches.

The Lions and Falcons now have black GMs and we both know Holmes wasn?t part of the head coaching process.

Why didn't the Falcons hire him?
