Houston goes down 123 in the 8th and are down to the last three outs.

Washington 4-2 headed for the 9th.

Line score

Washington 4-6-0 With 5 lob?s.
Houston 2-10-0 with 10 lob?s.

Three more outs and a bunch of ex-Tigers will get a ring.

I hope one day again the Tigers will have some great players again, and be in a World Series, and maybe play good and win it !

A couple years and a good GM I think it will happen. Detroit sports in general are just down. Wings and Tigers in serious rebuild. Piston's are probably the best we have right now which is pretty sad.

Houston pen getting ready to crack again. Single , Fc, single , walk. Pitching change. 6-2. And that is that ! Max holding the Houston at bay was amazing. I thought Houston would win this series but I was wrong.

I am cool if with the Nats winning their first WS championship as a WC vs a postseason experienced team in the Astros, who have a great organization which likely will field contenders for more seasons yet to come. Unlike a certain WC team who crapped the WS bed 13 years ago, but rolled through the ALDS/CS, similar to what the Nats did in the NLDS/CS.

Isn?t that the issue? Do we really trust Al ?

Washington which was 19-31 after fifty games is three outs away from winning all 4 road games in a World Series. I just heard they are the oldest mlb team this year ? Did I hear that right ?

I did hear that right . Washington is the oldest team in baseball. I doubt they make the playoffs next year. That will be my bold and probably wrong prediction.

Now FIVE former Tigers SPs have won WS rings with other teams over the past 3 years!!

YAY!!!

I switched off Game 4 of the 2012 WS, right after Migwell sfruck out in the bottom 9th to give the SF Giants the championship. Just couldn't watch them celebrate on our infield after that humiliating and embarrassing sweep, including being SHO road and home in consecutive games.

Although Stros fans are disappointed after coming oh so close to winning it all again, they still should be very proud of their team, the FO, and its first class organization...I wonder what that's like?

Verlander remains winless

Verlander is without a doubt a future Hall of Famer, with a pedigree a mile long. But one of ? if not the ? most notable flaw on his r?sum? is his consistently poor performances in World Series games. After Tuesday night?s subpar outing, Verlander remains winless in the fall classic, sporting an 0-6 record and a 5.68 ERA in seven starts. He also has lost four straight series-clinching playoff games going back to 2017, the longest streak in major league history.

Detroit and Houston have combined to score just nine total runs while Verlander was in the game in those seven World Series starts, never more than two runs in one game.

2 sides to it, should he be 4-3 or 3-4? Nahh, but he could easily have 1 or 2 wins and it's a non issue.
