Avilia Clutch Factor

Huge night AGAIN last night. Hit a 3-run HR to rally the troops to another victory.

like a guy said earlier..it was only in the 2nd inning....surely that can't be counted as a "big hit" on the Chica scale.

-0.12 clutch factor in fangraph..........

MLB average was- 0.20 in 2010....so he's better then average in the clutch.

I'll take it from a lefty catcher who plays pretty much behind the dish every game.

slapped again....get yourself a band-aid

This is going to be the second time I post this (someone obviously deleted it the first time). Probably cause I'm right.

Do you read what you write?

how is positive .20 close to Negative 12?

and why does 2010 figure into this?

I never said he wasn't a good player. You are just arguing just to argue. He's just not clutch.

If a guy in the NBA averages 30 PPGs but misses all his game winning shots...he's not clutch. Doesn't mean he isn't good.

Is there a legitmate and sane reason why you just have to argue every single F'ing thing here like at the other forum??
Give it a rest, or just add it to your tutor blog, you are pissing off many here again.
geezus,

geezus,

he's an idiot...lol

the average MLB player hovers between a - 1 .0 and + 1.0 in clutch factor....

like I told him...Avila is better then average in the stat...and for a lefty catcher that sits behind the dish everyday...I'll take it from him.

dude is 1st in most hitting stats that matter in the AL for catchers...2nd behind Arencibia for homers.

everyday that im not looking at Gerald Laird back there is a good day for me.

I'm not disagreeing with you there...he's the top catcher in the league.

but
just
isn't
clutch.

(p.s. which is it? .2, .1, -.1?)

which is what tard ? it's a fact the average MLB player hovers between - 1.0 and + 1.0 in the stat during the year.

Arods clutch factor last year was a - 1.40....still though I'd take him at bat with 2 outs and a guy on 2nd in the bottom of the 9th.

now pick yourself up , dust yourself off , grab a wine cooler and watch the u of m game.

according to you, Avila doesn't fall within the average.

which would make him below average.

And yes, I would take AROD before Avila in that situation.

Mitch[/color]]You have to admit the wine cooler remark was rather funny.

he was close..I'm drinking wine.

normally I would be slamming back gin and tonic but I have a golf tournament tomorrow...EARLY...

What bad timing

Avila clutch factor - 0.12

which is better then average.....lol

first of all...it's 2011.

second of all...i like how you call me gimp when you been owned.

third of all....someone being "AVERAGE" doesn't make them clutch

is an "average" free throw shooter a CLUTCH free throw shooter?

where did I call him clutch ?? all I said is his clutch numbers are better then the 2010 average , which I bet is probably real close if not the same in 2011.

and I'll take that from a lefty catcher...

run along now gimp....Im done thrashing you today.

Who gives a fuck if he isn't "clutch"? The guy has exceeded expectations 10-fold this year. Everytime he comes up to the plate, i feel comfortable that he's going to either have a good AB or even get a hit. That's "clutch" in my eyes. The numbers Avila have put up this year are phenomenal compared to what we thought he was going to produce. So, stop with the "clutch" talk because it's moronic...it really is.
