Fox News Game

Not trying to step into the middle of this friendly back and forth but aren't anarchists just libertarians with the (defective) mind to do something about it?

The difference is enforcement of property rights.

so what we've learned is that the FBI has infiltrated the "Occupy Movement" just as it has the Tea Party, the Black Panthers and the Mob?

It's all part of Obama's Kenyan Socialist Muslim takeover of America.

MSNBC make any statements to the FACT they have OWS ties??? Nope, afterall Barry supports the movement

Why is gas prices being discussed????? I didnt bring it up

You may seriously be the angriest person I know after reading through this thread. Seriously, and I work in juvenile corrections. Want to know a difference between the inmates and you? When they start going crazy, I support them with logic and reasoning and they calm down. You deflect. You make it sound like all you do it watch MSNBC all day... or Google for videos or anything to support your opinion. All over the word "ties."

Do us a favor and define what role you think they played in the OWS movement. I know it's asking a lot out of you to try and stay focused on one subject here, but give it a shot. Because you seem to be getting bent out of shape that certain news organizations reported that they went to rallies, which thus far, no evidence contradicts (to my knowledge). I recently ran in a 2k marathon to support Breast Cancer. If I were to have attempted some major crime, is the Breast Cancer foundation now to be vilified? I have ties to it, because I participated in its event. Just curious on your thoughts there.

I suggest blood pressure medication sometime this year. You're going to either stroke out or have an aneurism when Obama is reelected. Oh, and I'm independent before you start mentioning how I'm brainwashed by MSNBC.

Obviously the OWS inspired them to go to their rally's. The OWS, for whatever its intention were, has turned out to be nothing more than basically a communist movement. In fact, the communist party has indorsed the movement and MSNBC has promoted the movement from day one.
Your analogy of running in a marathon is laughable.
The OWS was compared to the Tea Party movement from day one by MSNBC and has turned out to be so further from the truth. OWS leaders knew of these people which tells me they have been to more than one gathering. I doubt people organizing the cancer run knew you.

I made my point about MSNBC not mentioning a relevant point about the group and The Victors immediately went to gas prices, so It wasn't me changing the subject.

Furthermore, my health is A+, maybe the juveniles are getting to you, I understand that business takes its toll on its employees....I had two friends in college working at such a place..man they were stressed when they came home...so take care of yourself

Keep it up tsmith! *Remember: you're never wrong, as long as you can change the argument.

when someone refutes your point, just make up something else and keep going. after all, it's not like people can scroll up and read that far back in the thread...

psst....MSNBC has no affiliates...so some timbukto station in WV isnt MSNBC

No, idiot. You're not playing the game at all. You have to spin the bombing story as MSNBC would and as Fox News is.

Problem is that MSNBC seems to be rather straight forward in its report and not as interested in spinning the story to suit a political agenda.

Of course you didn't define exactly what the significance of "ties to OWS" is, just as you have yet to explain how the White House sets national gasoline prices but then again, you're hardly the brightest guy.

Glad to hear you're paying $3.85 versus what you were paying a month ago. I'm sure as a "small business owner" this is really helping the bottom line and spurring growth so you can re-ignite this stagnant economy and be a catalyst for job growth.

I do think it's cute you demand you get your news and information from "TV personalities," though. Sort of a visual kind of guy who doesn't like to get bogged down with all the information, huh?

LOL, Signed for Occupy Cleveland lease....nahh, he has no ties. LOL

So back to the OP. I think the "ties to OWS" were completely and openly already acknowledged by both the "liberal media" who you whine about, as well as myself. The significance is what is irrelevant and has been pointed out directly as well as with examples, more easy for you to understand.

EX - I am an Christian and was baptized and confirmed as such ...I kill someone, therefore all Christians are murderers is what you and FoxNews are relying upon with the vague inferences to whatever "occupy wall street" is, based on the convenient definition of the day for the right-wing corporate media.

(First, OWS was some innoccuous rag-tag outfit of hippies and degenerates yet now FoxNews is trying to pretend it's on par with Al Quaeda ...typical and pandering to the idiots who watch the network)

BUT!!! BACK TO THE OP!!!

So, we've seen gasoline prices come down since my first post and they continue to decline. Here is a report from today's AP on the news:

Oil below $100 a barrel as gas prices keep falling
By Gary Strauss, USA TODAYUpdated 2d 18h ago Comments Reprints & PermissionsThe month-long slide in gasoline prices likely will continue in the coming weeks, providing more relief for shell-shocked motorists heading into peak driving season.

[Gasoline averages $3.80 a gallon — about 12 cents below this year's peak and nearly 20 cents below 2011's $3.99 a gallon.]

Gasoline prices have now fallen 18 straight days and 25 of the past 28.

"We can expect the U.S. retail average to flirt with $3.75 a gallon shortly and expect to pay 10 to 25 cents a gallon less in the next couple months," says Tom Kloza, chief analyst for the Oil Price Information Service.

Crude oil prices fell sharply in Friday trading after the Labor Department reported weaker than expected job gains last month. That roiled Wall Street and the commodities market. Benchmark West Texas crude oil sank 4% to $98.49 a barrel, its biggest one-day drop of 2012 and the first time crude had fallen below $100 since February.

Weaker-than-expected economic news in the U.S. and Europe has helped push prices lower for several weeks. So have supply problems at U.S. refineries and easing tensions in the Middle East, where a possible showdown with Iran had driven speculators to push crude oil prices up sharply since the start of the year, spurring some forecasters to predict gasoline would surge well above the record $4.11 a gallon average set in July 2008.

But with consumption down, sustained global economic weakness and rising production up — the Energy Department said earlier this week that U.S. production was at its highest levels since 1999 — this year's price run-up ran out of steam six weeks before the peak of summer driving season.

Lowest prices: the Midwest, where gas could fall below $3.50 a gallon. Highest: the West coast, where prices could remain closer to $4 as supplies are tight . Patrick DeHaan, senior oil analyst with price tracker gasbuddy.com, says West Coast refineries continue to struggle with ramping up production, resulting in a 33% drop in supplies from year-ago levels.

FoxNews is running with a more abbreviated AP story:

The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has dropped seven cents over the past two weeks, but prices in Chicago still lead the nation according to one national survey.

The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices, released today, puts the price of a gallon of regular at $3.85.

Midgrade costs an average of $4.00 a gallon, and premium is at $4.12.

Diesel dropped three cents to $4.15 a gallon.

Of the cities surveyed, Chicago has the highest at $4.32. Tulsa, Okla., has the nation's lowest average price for gas at $3.40.

In California, the lowest average price was $4.07 in Fresno. The highest was $4.21 in San Francisco. The average statewide for a gallon of regular was $4.16, down about half a cent.

So now all that has to happen is what I predicted at the outset. Google searches, OWS, all of the crap tsmith has thrown at the wall because he doesn't understand the thread to begin with is irrelevant.

All FoxNews has to do is run with their headline:

"Is President Obama and the White House manipulating Gasoline Prices in order to win votes?!"

As soon as they do run with this headline -- knowing idiots like tsmith can't rightly explain the oil market or the disconnect between the Oval Office and the price of gas -- I win the game.

And if terrorists attack some pipeline in Nigeria and oil skyrockets, well I already stated from the outset (and provided corroborating statements, instead of vague Google results) that we're always prone to Black Swan events ...

But if trends continue as I rightly predicted weeks ago and Fox even hints at Obama manipulating Gas Prices .... I will laugh my fucking ass off from now until Election Tuesday.

The grammatical errors in your last post make it difficult to understand if you had a point or not.

Also, please let us know when Clarkston, Michigan ever becomes representative of anywhere in the world besides Clarkston, Michigan.

Scientist: "Global Warming is real and taking place."

tsmith: "Oh yeah, well explain why it's snowing in Clarkston then!"

Premium's down to 3.87 in Lancaster PA was 4.19 a few weeks ago...I think regular's down around 3.60 and was in the 3.90's prior...

You can say that for anywhere in the world...WTF is your point?

So here's how the game goes ... take a storyline and "FoxNewsify" it.

Here's my call for this summer .....

Now regardless of the fact that in Jan 2009 the country was in the throes of the worst recession since the 1920's and everything was cheaper ...and we were within weeks of the stock market bottom on March 9th and gas prices under Bush had been much, much, much higher than when Obama was inaugurated (as they are again now), the premise is simple --

"Obama is to blame for Gas Prices and you should vote against him/blame him for this!"

Well, gas prices are going to be coming down and coming down pretty nicely. Oil will be trading under $100/barrel and after the initial, traditional summer "bump," gas will actually be cheaper than it has been recently.

Uh oh ...

Print Font: +-NEW YORK — The government says gasoline will be cheaper this summer than previously expected thanks to a drop in the price of oil.

The Energy Department says drivers should pay an average of $3.79 per gallon at the pump from April through September. That's down 16 cents from last month's outlook and not that dramatic an increase from last summer's average of $3.71 per gallon.

This month's forecast is a reversal from previous warnings of a sharp rise in gasoline prices. The government had said last month that gasoline prices in May could jump above a monthly average of $4.01 per gallon.

Oil prices have dropped about $7 per barrel since April 2.

The national average for gas has declined 17 cents since early April to $3.76 per gallon on Tuesday.

Here's a good one for tonight...I'm sure MSNBC will tout the latest Reuters poll showing Obama up 7pts, but they'll fail to mention the poll had 9% more dems and 15% of the people polled were not registered and 23% wont be voting, LOL. It's a busy night for them with the dem primary in Wisc.

who fucking cares? What is this obsession you have with POLLS, anyways? Who fucking cares what some poll in May says ..unless of course it says what you don't want to hear so you get all bitchy and whiny about it. You need to turn off the cable tv, it's turning your brain into mush.
