Hoops

As expected, Pierre Brooks to the transfer portal. Struggled with his weight and work ethic. Good kid with enough talent to play big time college basketball, but just not as driven as he needs to be.

Word is Walker is likely returning.

sounds like he's MSU's Brandon Johns. Hopefully we don't run into the same/similar problems with anyone in the '23 class.

Way too early top 25s are coming out. They assume Hall ius back, but not Walker. Sounds like Walker is coming back for sure. And now there are rumors that Joey Hauser is reconsidering and might come back. We'd be top 5 across the board if all 3 return.

All the hype in the world isn't gonna stop Izzo from starting Hall and Mady at the 4 and 5.

Malik Hall is returning for another season.

Expect Jaden Akins to get draft evaluation but maintain his eligibility. He is very likely to return and wants to come back, but he?s going to do his due dillogenxe.

If Akins has declared the fact that there?s almost no press about it should tell him something about his draft stock.

As expected, Jaden Akins getting an NBA draft grade while maintaining his eligibility. 80-20 returning IMO.

If he's a lock to get drafted at all, he should go. The same ball hogs are back in the backcourt and he'll be, at best, the 3rd or 4th option. Hard to improve your stock if you're not having the ball in your hands.

Yeah, it?s a real shame he?s a year younger than Hoggard. If they came in at the same time he?d likely be ahead of him in the rotation. It will be a shame to see him go because he has a higher ceiling than at least Hoggard and probably Walker too. If he goes, so be it but I don?t think he?s ready. I don?t think the NBA will have the patience and Europe will end up being his peak.

If he stays, he could still end up in Europe but what?s better, leaving now and ending up in Europe or ending up in Europe after taking a shot at a Final Four and National Championship?

Max Christie getting some garbage time minutes in the playoffs with the Lakers up 38 in the 4th quarter.

When I google ?Jaden Aikins? the top few stories now are articles saying he should withdraw from the draft. Stories about him declaring are buried down below a dozen or so other links (stats bio, videos of him dunking on everyone at michigan, etc).

As expected, both Akins and Hoggard have announced they're returning to Michigan State for another year. Top 3 team on paper. Just a loaded roster.

PG Hoggard
SG Walker
SG Akins
PF Booker
C Sissoko

Hall, Carr, Fears, Cooper, Kohler, Holloman, Noorman.

I'm not sure MSU has had a deeper and more talented roster than that ever.

Any roster that has Mady and a project freshman as the starting front court isn't loaded
