Tigers vs. indians Game Thread August 20

Rangers brought in Oliver to pitch to Dunn. What is he 2 for 170 against lefties?

I remember Delmon's older brother Dmitri, one of my favorite Tigers before he had his falling off.. He totally embraced the Detroit area as well..

Coke 8th inning,

hafnerroids goes down swinging,

dramaqueenffsantana line drive single to center,

fukudome grounder to Santiago flips to Peralta at second and relay to Cabrera is just late fukudome safe,

laportly chops to Peralta and he steps on second for the force,

Tigers lead 10 - 1.

3 for 80.

that has to be historically bad.

It's funny cause Price and Dickerson were always saying that Dunn was going to turn it around soon, and to "look out for the White Sox" when he does.

Unless he goes in an absolute crush fest in the last 36-38 games, then he has to be the hugest bust all year.

Worse than Soriano.

Delmon Young before tonight with Detroit, 19 PA .353 .368 .529. And the best number yet only 1 K.

Of course he doesn't walk :) but still 1 k is a nice change.

Let's get some insurance runs......Can we use some of these runs for tomorrow incase we need them..

And now he makes an error, Rangers with a baserunner.

In his 10 starts with the M's prior to coming to Tigers, Doug Fister got 10 total runs of support. Tonight he gets 10 in seven innings.

back to back strong starts is nice to see from max and fister. hopefully penny and porcello can continue the streak.

Tigers 8th inning,

Cabrera first pitch grounder to third,

Martinez takes a strike, slider low, slider strike call, outside, fouled back, fly near the line in right,

Avila with another hit a single to center, before that hit a .561 OBP in August Three walks and a double, goes up to .567,

Peralta wings and misses a slider, off the corner, ground foul past third, grounder to third,

Tigers lead 10 - 1.
