Horrible first inning for JV..

Not sure if that was tongue in cheek or not, but it's kind of funny that an inning where JV gives up no runs is considered a bad inning for him.

He is a sick man when he's doing that. Not too many other guys in baseball can do that.

Anyone else surprised Miggy named his newborn son Christopher Alexander? I would have guessed it would have been much more of a Latin name.

Miggy jacks a homer and Blyleven says...this big donkey right here....LOL.

Tigers 2nd inning,

Cabrera takes low, takes a changeup strike, checks a swing slider away, again off the corner, fly to deep right and BOOM a homerun for Miguel, Yeah that's the ticket,

Tigers lead 1 - 0,

Martinez lines it foul down left, grounder to second,

Avila takes inside, drilled to deep right and it's a homerun Boom,

Tigers lead 2 - 0,

Peralta first pitch swinging grounder to short,

Betemit takes outside, strike call, curve low, another ground foul by first, strikes out swinging,

dragqueenpavano with 22 pitches,

Tigers lead 2 - 0.

If Alex was a character in He-Man Masters of the Universe, he'd for sure be Beastman.

Everyone was saying this during his last start when he had a 30 pitch 1st.

He still went 7 easy, and could have gone 8.

what the hell? if his fastball is close to a strike, they foul it. when did they get such good plate discipline?
