Tigers vs. whitesox Game Thread September 2

Wow, Radio just said Inge is blaming a sore shoulderblade for his slump since his first game back.

Brandon, when will you learn we can see right through your bullshit smokescreen?

how many more starts does JV have?

5 after today.

Unless they shut him down the last one to rest up for short rest in playoffs.

we all know he is good enough to win them all, but if he wins them all he will have 26 wins, no other pitcher is able to do this?

Tigers 2nd inning,

Santiago strike call, fly to center,

Inge watches a strike go into the catchers mitt, check swing high, swings and misses a cutter low, lines it right back at danks into center for a single, that's a pleasant surprise,

Jackson takes a cutter low, throw to first, swings and misses another in, throw to first, high strike call, fastball outside, line drive single to center Inge to second,

fat daddy cooper pitching coach yelling at danks, have another donut,

Magglio takes low, grounder to short 6 - 4 - 3 double play sigh,

danks with 36 pitches,

Tigers lead 3 - 0.

Nope, think the best anyone in the AL could do is 23 by Sabathia.

Maggs was an All Star quality player. Sad to see someone struggle at the end.

That is why it was important to win yesterday when Magglio had a good game... Because his effort really was wasted...

MLB Network listed the 25-game winners since McLain won 31. They included Seaver, Guidry, and Welch. Somehow, they forgot Lolich....and Carlton and Steve Stone

biggunsbob[/color]]Damn another 3-2 count..

92 at the park. He will not be long for the game in this heat unless he can get some easy innings. (That is my capt. obvious post of the night).

He's not human.

Verlander 3rd inning,

hillbillymorel fastball outside, strike inside corner called a ball, fastball low, fastball strike call walk, where was that JV asks the ump,

beckham throws to first, again and very close, curve outside, throw to first, fastball strike call, fastball in and fouled at the plate, fastball in fouled back, throw to first, slider low, fastball in full count, grounder to Peralta deep at short throws to Santiago and over to Cabrera for a double play,
as Rod said runner wasn't going with JV k'ing everyone,

pierre strike call, another at the knees called a ball, swings and misses a slider, curve breaks inside, fastball at the legs makes him jacknife full count, fastball in broken bat ground foul, a deep fly to right and Magglio runs a long way and catches it, Maggs saved a triple or inside the park,

Verlander with 38 pitches and appears to be getting squeezed on a few pitches,

Tigers lead 3 - 0.
