Game 12: Lions @ Saints Thread

With Detroit leading the high-flying Saints 10-0, note that the Lions have held seven of their first 11 opponents under 21 points.
That was tied for the NFL lead with the Cowboys, Seahawks, Ravens, Patriots, Chiefs and Vikings.
Which two teams do not belong? It has to be the Cowboys and Lions.
Just shows how well they have controlled games offensively, and how their defenses are probably better than anticipated.

Lions QB Matthew Stafford is locked in today, no matter how you judge the quality of the Saints' defense.
This is what it looks like when a player makes a mid-career jump.
Accuracy was an issue for him earlier in his tenure, but it's difficult to imagine that he could be running this offense with any more precision than he currently is.

Theo Riddick aligned in the slot...That's an automatic matchup advantage for the Lions in the deep red zone.
Too quick for the linebacker in coverage. Run the option route. Lions jump to a 10-0 lead over the Saints on Matthew Stafford's TD pass.

Matthew Stafford now tied for 51st all-time in TD passes with 183.
He tied Craig Morton, the former Dallas, Denver and Giants quarterback.
He completed the TD pass to Theo Riddick, who had his career-high fifth TD reception this season.

Golden Tate didn't have 42+ receiving yards in his first 5 games this year.
At least 42 in 6 of his last 7.‬
