Your Mock Draft

Pitts is a number 1 weapon game changer more like a WR than TE. So for sure a need and possibly BPA

But he better work out like that or its even worse than Ebron just being solid/good in Detroit with no blocking/drops

Fast track to the SOL executive HOF.

Slater, Sewell or better defense helps the QB too

Rams got Woods in free agency and Kupp in Round 3. Did trade a 1st for Cooks though for like 2 years worth of good play then injury. Day 2 tight ends

Was never big on using first round picks at all though on prospects except Goff

So was Eric "MUN" Ebron. He ran 2 yard outs his entire career here and could be covered by slow OLBs with no issues.

Hopefully Holmes takes that approach. Plenty of darts they can throw on WR in the middle rounds, especially this year. If one or two emerge with Goff throwing the ball, that will be a big boost for the next QB.

Rookie WRs don't usually do well early. So you get the growing year out of the way with Goff then ready to roll for 2022. That makes sense too

Calvin had like 700 yards his rookie year

It?s not early 2000?s anymore. That old excuse of ?position typically don?t do well? is gone! If your a top 10 pick, you?re expected to have an immediate impact year one. Period! We used that excuse for Hock and Okuduh. We can?t keep making excuses while we?re getting torched by Jefferson on Sunday.

Run...catch....its not very difficult. A great majority of the time they are running a pre determined route. That may change slightly if its man or zone but typically thats called out by the QB to notify you. These are all things rookies should be able to do with no problem...plenty of them have. We will get the moron that "needs time to learn".

Wow, apparently I should go to an nfl camp then. It's so easy!

I'm sure he meant that the transition from being an elite college player to the NFL isn't as difficult as some make it out to be. He isn't talking about a no talent hack on the internet being able to make the transition to an NFL player.

This is my Mock:

#12: Micah Parsons (LB)
#40: Elijah Moore (WR)
#43: Elijah Molden (S)
Plus Philly 2022 1st Rounder

I just did one without trades. The way it fell wasn't ideal because the top 2 picks weren't exactly what I would want to do, but I felt they were too good to pass up on.

1 Pitts
2 Elijah Moore
3 Jamin Davis, LB
4 Jamar Johnson S
5 Tommy Togiai DL
6 Justin Hilliard LB

I think this would be a good draft with the exception of adding someone on the OL. Pitts is a potential all pro. I think Moore could be a sleeper with #1 upside. Davis, Johnson & Togiai could possible start on this shitty D. And Hilliard was too good to pass up. He would be great depth and probably even push for a starting job on this team.

That's like a nightmare draft. Before the draft they're all potential all pro.

I went to that site and the first 6 picks were..

Pick 1 Trevor Lawrence
QB

Pick 2 Justin Fields
QB

Pick 3 Ja'Marr Chase
WR

Pick 4 Penei Sewell
T

Pick 5 Jaylen Waddle
WR

Pick 6 Micah Parsons
LB

I know most people don't want Pitts, but I think he may be the best non QB in this draft. Moore has just about as good of a chance to be a good #1 as any of the top 3 WRs off the board.

Anyway, the way it played out is not ideal, but I think the end result of my mock would have a good outcome for the Lions.

Chase is an absolute beast. But yeah trading up would be dumb

If youre talking about clear cut potential #1 WR guys....i think its Chase > Bateman > Marshall.

Smith is weird to peg where hes going to fit...is he too undersized to play on the outside in the NFL? Waddle is a slot.

That said...id never trade up for Chase. IFFFFFF youre stuck on WR id trade down and target Bateman or Marshall (Waddle if hes still on the board and youre open to drafting a slot WR in rd 1) before i traded up for Chase.

Is there anyone in this draft worth trading up for?
Other than Lawrence at a modest price to trade, I don't see it. But the price to get to 1 wouldn't be modest.
