Well, This is News, I Guess

The real bull shit of the story is that it?s supposed to be evidence that abortion should be legal and overturning Roe was horrible. This is how they attempt to justify their end game (abortion on demand, no questions asked) - by taking an extreme example (less than .5% of abortions) to say we need it to allow the other nearly 900k murders committed every year primarily for convenience.

Well, again it?s an example so extreme it seems impossible it exists.

Did the unnamed doctor not contact the police nor child social services?

Did NO journalist follow on investigating that?

From what I?m finding about the law, the representatives of the majority of voters in Ohio absolutely created an exemption for instances like this.

I have no doubt the story will not ever be corroborated and little doubt it won?t soon be debunked.

EDIT: Also, from what I understand of the law, abortion on demand IS still legal in Ohio.

The person just has to demand it a lot sooner.

Our European allies who have been bemoaning the end of Roe have long had restrictions on abortion much closer to what the state of Ohio has now.

I wouldn't dispute it's an outlier. But shouldn't laws take into account outliers like this? Imagine how traumatic of an experience it is for the 10 year old. Now add all this traveling out of state nonsense to it, it certainly can't help.

I don't know who 'they' is but I was very specific for this reason.

Again, the law in Ohio DOES take into account outliers like this.

A doctor in Ohio would have faced zero chance of prosecution for protecting the safety of that little girl, as I read the law.

It looks to me the story originated in The Daily Kos.

I think Tuesday I?ll contact the journalists at the Indianapolis Star to find out what I can find out about the doctor in Ohio.

The story really isn?t about that doctor, it?s about a doctor in Indianapolis who claims to have taken a phone call from her colleague, described as ?a child abuse doctor.?

Maybe the investigate journalist who will end up debunking all of this will in fact be none other than yours truly.

Don?t tell me, let me guess - this is a selfy of you when you heard racist homophobes said they found Jussie Smollet?s story ?fishy,? right?

No, it's actually Eddie Izzard from an old stand up. Really funny actually, it aged well, you should give it a watch.

I didn't have an opinion on Jussie Smollett other than to say I was glad he was rotting in jail. I don't obsess over Hollywood bullshit. Not my lane at all.

I did a search engine search for the Indiana obstetrician. The primary phone number has been disconnected.

That could mean a lot of things.

I would call the referring doctor in Ohio - I would wait until after the holiday, of course - and ask that doctor how he or she made the EXACT determination of the duration of the pregnancy, except - that doctor isn?t named in article you linked to.

So convenient.

Man, you are dense today dude. More so than other times I've linked data or sources and you ignored them or played dumb with a joke. It's not a big mystery how they figure out the age. I already linked it in this thread (I'm starting to see giving proper sources is a waste of fucking time). They measure the fetus via ultrasound and also mark the first day of the last menstrual cycle. There's no voodoo or conspiracy.

As far as the doctors phones being disconnected and/or not making their identities available, I wonder how many other detectives like you also wanted to blow up their phone with questions that have easily accessible answers. I can't imagine why they'd want to avoid that kind of bullshit.

EDIT: This is the closest thing I can find to what I think would eventually become the law in Ohio. If this is what did become law, there absolutely is an exception for the life and safety of the pregnant person.

There is NOTHING I can find that corroborates that a ten year old giving birth is safe in any capacity at all.

I am now officially calling bullshit on the story you linked to - somebody just made that shit up.

So the doctor has options: Risk a fifth degree felony in the chance some religious nut job wants to take her to trial and a judge/jury decides that the doctor acted in bad faith or quickly get the kid to another state that won't drag it's feet or cause further stress. The longer she waits, the more traumatic the whole experience gets for the kid and frankly the greater a chance the doctor will be successfully prosecuted becomes.

I can't wait. Please keep me posted, I await with bated breath.

Enjoy your holiday weekend dude. I'll check back on Tuesday.

I never went through the process with anyone. According to this, the methods you refer to are still only an estimation.

I didn?t quote you because I was commenting on the article. ?They? are the people who wrote and published this piece and probably the majority of pro abortion people who read and agree with it. It was written with the intent of ?proving? why we need abortion. Rather than defend their actual position (murdering babies as a form of birth control), they take the outlier cases that represent less than 1% of all abortions to demand legal abortion for all.

Governor Noem is wondering the same thing.

So who?s going to follow up on that?

Also Guv Kristi might literally be the hottest granny on the planet.

Enjoy your holiday weekend dude. I'll check back on Tuesday.

So, my friend, inspired by Governor Noem?s impassioned comments, I have done one better.

I just contacted Ohio Governor DeWine?s office to ask what?s being done to bring justice for the reported horrific crime, the rape of a ten year old girl.

Since the only identity known in the story who might know how to find the identity of the reported perpetrator is Dr. Caitlyn Brown Indiana, I contacted the office of Governor Eric Holcomb to recommend offering assistance to authorities in Ohio in an investigation, and finally, I contacted the office of Governor Kristi Noem in South Dakota to request she contact her colleague Governor DeWine in Ohio to encourage him to do what has to be done to bring the reported perpetrator to justice.

I would imagine a lot of people have been doing the same thing.

Anyway, we?ll see where the story goes from here.

EDIT: Wow! I just found a working phone number for Dr. Bernard! It?s her number at Indiana University. I left her a message asking her what she was doing to help authorities identify the perpetrator of the reported horrific crime.

I doubt she?ll call me back, but who knows?

UPDATE: Earlier I had only been to make a written contact to the Ohio governor?s office via the Internet; following up I spoke with somewhere there who confirmed that numerous contacts had been made regarding this matter.

It couldn?t be corroborated there but I expect the governor of Ohio will soon make some kind of public communication on the issue.

This could be a bit deflating for all the leftists hoping the SC overturning federally protected legal baby murder would give them a boost at the polls this year...

"Don't Know" polls higher than abortion in terms of what's most important to voters. The issue of abortion is at 5%, but that includes all the pro-life people who also chose it as a priority. Abortion did beat out guns and gun ownership which is top of mind for just 3% of voters (which of course, also includes gun lovers, not just gun grabbers who care about the issue). Still, it's probably a good strategy for their lapdogs in the media to dedicate a massively disproportionate amount of coverage to these two issues since the economy is a real loser for them right now.

little slut got pregnant at 10? Maybe Ohio should lower the age to get a license so they can drive to Indiana to get abortions.

In this case, the girl traveled from Ohio to Indiana on the back of a unicorn.

What is unreported is whether the unicorn galloped or flew.

The truth of that may never come out.

Obviously, in a lot of places, a lot of voters who prioritize the abortion question are strongly pro-life.

If that weren?t the case, the laws would not be changing.

I?m not aware of a state that has not made an exception for when the life of the mother is in danger.

A number of states ? Florida comes to mind - have ostensibly restricted it to the first trimester, which is what the crafters of Rome initially intended.

I know a number of people who would call them self ?pro choice? who are fine with that restriction.

I know a number of people who would call them self ?pro life? who nevertheless can live with that as opposed to unrestricted, on demand.

clearly, the answer has to lie somewhere between the extreme positions but it's clear that the extreme left position has become mainstream among elected Dems and is now a part of the platform of the DNC. And, according this post, focusing on this and guns will likely not be what saves the Dems from the impeding electoral disaster. It's not the economy either, since it's in shambles and they've proven themselves to be feckless buffoons when it comes to dealing with it. They still have five months to turn it around but at this point, election fraud seems like their only hope.

Governor DeWine responds to me (and everyone else).

?DeWine said he assumed the doctor, a mandatory reporter, referred the case to children?s services and Ohio law enforcement.?

Well, that?s pretty specific.

Way to get on top of that Gov.

Nice job.
