Lions Fire Quinn and Patrica

My preference at this time would be saleh
The problem with Seleh being a HC he won't be calling the defensive plays. The DC usually does that. Schemes just aren't enough. That's what we've been doing getting a good OC or DC who actually don't call the offensive or defensive plays.

Not sure there's another way but maybe go old school where we get a DC to be HC and let him call the plays on game day.

Eric Bieniemy I'm less warm on because unless we trade Stafford for Mahomes I'm not sure we need an OC. We need a DC that can focus on the D and even an average QB can win games.

I hesitate in preferring a coordinator who is underneath a head coach who also specializes on that side of the ball (Belichick, Patricia). As many great things that are said about Bieniemy, he falls into that category.

Fans wanted a change prior to Millen..fans wanted schwartz, fans wanted patricia..fans dont have enough information and fans shouldnt get to choose

They just want winning but they give up on gms and coaches after one losing season

Lions fans just like to complain. No matter what

So, you complain about complaining, when the information about the complaining (Patricia incompetence) stares you in the face?

Patty should have been fired just based on his delay of games with 10-men on the field, 3 times in two weeks.

Side note that isn't relatable here but Buffalo is 7-3 but only a net 7 in point differential. Feast or famine or a bunch of close games.

Also the Broncos are starting a PS player at QB who is a WR because all their QB's are out with Covid. He did have a couple starts in college and maybe in HS. Going vs Saints we could see 100 points here.

He should?ve been fired when he was late to practice his first year.

Well yeah.

Funny with out head coaches I remember when Fontes blamed his son for the weed in his car. Why would a kid hide their weed in the dad's car, lol.

THAT.....is an excellent point. Take Bieniemy out of the picture.....Chiefs likely don?t miss a beat.

I?d still prefer Saleh. SF has had MASSIVE injuries and are still very competitive. Speaks a lot to his system.

Lions have had 20 coaches under the Ford regime. I want to know what Shelia is going to do differently this time to build a championship-winning franchise and break the failure cycle of the last 56 seasons. She was not asked that question yesterday. She didn’t even mention a championship as being the goal of the franchise. No head coach under the Ford regime has ever been a head coach for another NFL team after leaving the Lions. This, in an era where the merry-go-round is rotating year round. Coaching the Lions is a career-killer, so I want to know what man is up to the task of risking his future to coach for an ownership group that has never won a championship.

I?d assume it goes without saying that a championship is the goal. But your stat about coaches is THE single biggest reason for the prolonged terribleness this fan base has endured. How is that even possible?

I wonder what our former OC, DC and GM?s have done since they left? I bet not much. The staggering lack of quality hires shows how bad the Fords are at running this franchise.

A goal for who? Not sure I've seen any Ford say anything besides "we want to be competitive." Not a playoff win or SB run or a SB win. They have low expectations. Only thing that gives me hope is eventually the Cubs won.

Mayhew helped build 49ers with Lynch
Schwartz won a super bowl as dc
Caldwell got sick but has been consultant
Gunther died
Linehan went to Dallas and got replaced by Kellen Moore
Teryl Austin back to position coach for pit after 2018 dc for bengals
Lombardi went back to Saints to qb coach
Cooter a rb coach with jets

21st in 2017, 13th in 2016, 23rrd in 2015, and 3rd in ppg defense in his tenure with Lions.

Better than current 30th ppg allowed

Yes. That guys also brought no pressure. It’s a recipe for disaster without the personal to pressure the QB.
