Real GMs are always planning for their teams future....no matter the circumstance. You suck bad enough to pick in the top 3....QB, Stud pass rushers and crazy good OTs is where the value is. Its all about a qb, protecting our qb, or getting to your qb. We picked a guy that was 6 yards behind on a go route and 4 yards behind on a 7 yard slant...in the same game.

Not planning for the future was part of what made Quin so terrible.[/

😂😂😂😂 the irony of this statement.

The guys i love in this draft:
Micah parsons lb 1
Zaven collins lb 1
Jabril Cox lb 3
Andre Cisco S 2/3
Trevon moehrig S 2
Azeez ojulari DE 1
Zach wilson QB 1
Jaylen waddle WR 1
Carlos Basham DE 2...reminds me of a young griffen

Sounds like Parsons might go later now, that's who I want, might be able to trade back and still get him. If he's got as many issues as they're talking, maybe he falls to round 2?

Personally, I never saw his play to be so outstanding when playing against UM to think he was worth an R1 pick. R2, sure...but I would rather use the R1 on a WR or CB. Add to that his apparent character issues, I will not be upset if the Lions go with a different LB option in the draft. We do not need a guy who will have off field issues prevent him from being on the field. He could be the best LB in NCAA history, if his off field issues mean he only plays 50% of his potential NFL games, I'd pass.

This draft is lacking a solid R1 LB IMO, which is unfortunate as that is a massive need for the Lions. I would rather they attempt to shore up the LB position in FA. Maybe an R3 LB this year and R1 next year if the talent is there...I just do not see the talent this year. Our biggest issue with LBs is their inability to provide solid pass coverage. I want an LB who is able to cover TEs and RBs and disrupt that damn slants and crossing routes. That requires speed, speed, and more speed at the LB position. In today's NFL, I would draft the biggest Safeties I could get and convert them into LBs. They would be able to blitz faster and provide better pass coverage.

I want the fastest and quickest D in the NFL, at all 3 levels. Have a couple big heavies to put on DL for short run situations, but give me speed and quicks for everything else.

With Dorsey in the front office, I don't think character issues will be taken a highly regarded as previous regimes. Dorsey drafted Hill and Hunt in KC. He traded for OBJ in Cleveland.

I don't know about Holmes but Dorsey definitely doesn't care about off field issues if you can perform on the field.

FYI...I am on the Parsons or Chase with the rd 1 pick.

 the irony of this statement.

Its not irony...its accurate. Now we have a 25 mil retred that was just benched for a guy no one had ever heard of. Rams fans are ecstatic. I live in socal... goff single handedly cost them 4 games this year. He's terrible. Like i said it's about your qb, protecting your qb and getting to the qb. Thanks to holmes we won't have all 3 in 2021.

Rousseau round 1, Bolton round 2. If the Lions draft a QB, WR, or TE in round 1 or 2, then I'm a Rams fan next year.

I get you on WR and TE shouldn't be drafted at all. QB is the tricky one.. It depends if anyone thinks Goff is a long term guy here. If he's not you take a QB. I suppose you could wait until next season and that would be fine.

We need Edge guys and LB's.

Goffs chance to succeed drastically decreases by focusing on adding offensive playmakers. I'm so sick of watching this teams only wins come in shootouts. Fix the defense

Qb won't be in play. Wr will. If TE is we should all quit being fans.

I saw a rumor that the 49ers were considering Kyle Pitts, the TE from Florida even though they have Kittle. The thought behind it is Kyle Shanahan would love to devise an offense with 2 TE that can run like WRs. You would never know if they had run plays dialed up or passing plays. Kittle, Pitts, Debo and Aiuk with a RB in the backfield. What would you do with your defensive personnel? Base defense and they split both TEs out wide. Put in a nickel and they just run the ball.

How fast is Pitts. Why not just draft a WR if you want a WR?

I think it's because of his size...6'6" 240 lbs combined with his route running, leaping ability and he actually has good hands unlike the "matchup nightmare" that the Lions used to have.

80% of the post statford trade mocks ive seen have us going WR. Typically chase or waddel. Im hoping for a trade down and target defense.

What if they trade down, getting some draft capital, and STILL draft a WR?
