Okay Fine I?ll Start the 2021 (or 2020?) Olympics Thread

So in the first ever mixed 4 x 400 track event, the two women who ran for Poland - who won gold in the event - were showing a whole lot of butt crack underneath their running panties as they celebrated their gold medal.

it's good you don't post pictures with any of these posts. none of us want to see actual pictures of things like this, we just use our imaginations

Finally some substantive and relevant discussion on the Olympics. Refreshing.

Women?s soccer runs out of gas and losses Canada. Plays either Australia or Sweden for Bronze medal. So streak of World Cup winner win in the Olympics is still intact. (I think they mentioned it). I have watched a few games and I think the USA needs to get younger. They run out of gas it looks like to me. Or just stop being offsides lol. USA Lost starting goalie halfway in the match due to a knee injury..Alyssa Naeher. Back up goalie guessed right in penalty but couldn?t get it. I heard the penalty was harsh but I have not seen it.

Last time USA won gold was 2012. They have won it in 1996, 2004, 2008, 2012
USA has won the World Cup in 1991, 1999, 2015, 2019, lost it in 2011

Sweden vs Canada for Gold medal.
USA vs Australia for the Bronze medal.

Baseball team loses to Japan in extra innings 7-6. Blew a 6-5 9th inning lead. I think a bad call on a strikeout pitch could have cost USA. Not sure if they still are in it. Have to look.

The winner of tonight?s game will advance to play the winner of Israel and Korea on Wednesday, August 4, at 7 p.m./6 a.m. EDT/3 a.m. PDT in the first of two semifinals. The loser will advance into the elimination bracket and play on Wednesday, August 4, at 12 p.m./Tuesday, August 3, at 11 p.m. EDT/8 p.m. PDT.

Not sure if there is still a path for a gold medal.
Japan's baseball team edges the U.S. 7-6 in 10 innings, as Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks catcher Takuya Kai drives in the winning run in the second round game. Both teams remain alive for the gold medal.

Must be double elimination from here on out.

I?d go Canada beach volleyball.

The three Jamaicans who swept the medals in the women?s 100 meters were pretty sweet.

I did a search for "canadian womens beach volleyball" to see what they looked like, and the first article that came up was from fox.

A bunch of comments on the article were complaining about the sheer number of commercials during the broadcasts.

Were these coming from socialist Fox viewers that want publicly funded non-commercial sports broadcasts?

or were they naive tools, hoping for some sort of magical form of commercially funded broadcasts run by a megacorporation (NBC is owned by Comcast) given an exclusive contract to air the coverage that won't seek to maximize it's profits above literally all other concerns?

Yes.

Haters gonna hate.

Boatloads of libdems love to watch Fox News just to make their blood boil, and post nasty libtard comments, just the same way boatloads of right wing Republitards watch MNSBC and CNN for the same reason.

Haters gonna hate.

Norway?s hand ball team won the Bronze medal as they were fined because they didn?t wear bikinis :/
This is just stupid.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/sports...dball-team-fined-not-playing-bikinis-n1274453

Am I reading this right ? They wore bike shorts and were fined because the old men FIFA/Olympic committee cronies didn?t get to watch them in the tighter shorts ? This makes zero sense.

No, you?re not reading it right.

It was not the Olympics.

The Olympic committee had nothing to do with it and I?m pretty sure FIFA would?ve had no reason to have anything to do with it either. FIFA has nothing to do with beach handball.

EDIT: Read the AP article I linked to in #50. It will answer all your questions. Pay a little more attention than usual though - the very first sentence of the article you linked says it was a tournament that wasn?t the Olympics.

Gotta wear the Bikinis in order to do well in the National Tight Butts Tournament. Duh. what were they thinking

In the article I linked, the women they talked to preferred the bikinis - for comfort, they say.

But they have to know they look hot, too.

That probably makes them play better.

Uh oh... a transgender woman competed in weightlifting at the Olympics.

This is going to turn the world of sports upside down... strike at the very heart of our society, and turn us all gay.

We must immediately rush and pass laws in all 50 states to prevent this from ever happening again, and lock our children in rooms and subject them to harsh punishments if they do anything that doesn't align perfectly with our pre-conceived concepts of male/female gender roles.
It didn't last long, but it was significant. Hubbard couldn?t complete any of her first three lifts on Monday night, ruling her out of medal contention in the women?s over-87-kilogram division that ultimately was won by China's Li Wenwen.
OH the humanity...

So if I can train a gorilla to compete in the Olympics, should it be able to? Here?s an idea: A transgender division of the Olympics. Or, let?s let men and women compete against each other for the same spots on Olympic teams and accept the outcome that 95% of Olympic athletes will be men.

No. I think a reasonable person can tell the difference between a human and a gorilla. There's really not much of a slippery slope here.

Your headline is old news. We?ve talked about this exact issue.

I like byco?s idea. A trans division of its own. Apples to apples. ?Girls? born with dicks against girls born with Jayjays is unfair - girls born with dicks have all kinds of biological advantages.

What? But a reasonable person can?t distinguish between a woman and a man who has ?changed? his gender to ?that? of a ?woman??
