Weaver was never really in it. All he had was ERA but he's behind in all categories and way behind in wins.

It seemed like after their head-to-head matchup that the Cy Young was pretty firmly in Verlander's hands. However, I wouldn't have been surprised if Weaver had gotten at least one vote over Verlander simply for ERA though. It wouldn't have been deserved, but this sort of makes that moot for now and hopefully for good.

The Cy Young is virtually assured at this point, now is the push for MVP.

He has 4 more starts, if he maintains his numbers he has an outside shot, if he dominates his last 4 games and improves his numbers he could be the favorite IMO. The triple crown for pitching is definitely a feather in his cap should he maintain it.
